To Russia With Love

Russians, we've hit 5,000 page views.

I hope you you know how much we here at Mods appreciate your continued support and hope to extend our readership even further as we go forth.

Yes, there have been some shaky times and lots of just plain bad writing, but here we are. The writing isn't much better and the views are curiously skewed, but here we are.

I'd also like to thank our friends over at Orbital Anvil Drop Station, who always keeps our momentum up; really guys it's a pleasure reading your posts on love and nihilism, it's a careful balance.

Nor can we forget the contributions of Slacker Conservative, a blog that tempers our own with completely opposite views and, yeah, some witty material.

We've seen some new blogs pop up, too. I think we're all excited to hear more from Point of Aim and The Only Girl Playing.

As you may have noticed we've added Google Adsense to the bottom of our newest posts. It's shiny and new and total sellout but it will be nice to cut Atta a check every once and a while, she works hard.

While looking at the numbers we realized that not all of our page views are originating in the United States, far from it. We're getting hits from Germany, Turkey, Iran, just all over the place. And that 5,000 page views? Not possible without the 256 from Russia, by far our largest percentage of foreign countries that pay us a visit.

Now, is it because "Dorge Kas" translates to "how to make potato vodka in your kitchen" or is everyone attracted to the name of the blog? Sorry folks, I really don't know how to keep the heat down on a merr-son JT12, but I'm glad you're here anyways.

Now, this is a direct message to anyone who stumbles upon this blog that does not live in the United States: Thank you for swinging by, for whatever reason. If you have a blog as well, send us a link and we'll add you to the LIARS list, we'd love to have you. Even if not, we'd still like to hear what you have to say, so please leave a message in the comment section.
