Django Unchained

Dear Mr. Tarantino,

I just saw Inglorious Basterds and thought it was a really great movie. Christoph Waltz is just stunning, and Brad Pitt was brilliant. I heard that Eli Roth's character was originally going to be played by Adam Sandler, is that true? I think it worked out for the best!

However, I do have a concern about the movie. Despite how awesome it was, I was really expecting to see more Nazi killing. The trailer seemed to suggest that I would be in for a Nazi-killing treat. Now, there was certainly Nazi killing, I would have just liked to have seen the Apache and his boys really tearing those Nazi's a new one. I know that when violence in implied it can be more powerful, but...I really thought I'd see some heads flying. Not too sound too fanatical, but I thought I was paying for a blood bath, which you certainly delivered in the tavern and the theater, but where's my Bear Jew montage of violence?

In short, I loved the movie, but thought I could stand to see those fucking Nazi scumbags really getting the shit beat out of them in the most violent way plausible. I know it's a historical daydream, but sometimes I like to think of bad people finally getting theirs in a grossly violent and horrific fashion.

All the best,

Dorge Kas

  1. Yes - we certainly got some visuals on the killing of racist southern whites as bloodsport. Hope there was enough splatter for you, Dorge.
